Marc Marquez is believed to be distracted because of Alex Marquez’s focus. But Honda boss Alberto Puig believes Marquez would actually be anxious if his younger brother joined another team.
A very big challenge will immediately be faced by Alex because of Marquez’s dominance. As is known, Marquez was almost unbeaten since his debut in 2013. Only in 2015, the Spaniard failed to win the world title after being taken by Lorenzo.
This then raises concerns about Marquez’s concentration in MotoGP competition in 2020. Although, Marquez himself has dismissed this notion.
‘Marc will be more worried if his younger brother debuts on another MotoGP team,” Puig was quoted as saying by Autosport. ‘I don’t know if Alex’s arrival could hurt Marc but the fact is that he is happy.’
‘He will only care whether his motorbike will work well. That is the only thing that will affect him and what he thinks.’
‘He is a champion, and when he has to fight with his own brother, he will do it – the story is over.’
