Luca Marini Ready to Join Marquez In Honda and Beat Rossi
Luca Marini claimed to be ready to join Marc Marquez in the Honda MotoGP team. He joked that he could beat his stepbrother, Valentino Rossi.
Luca Marini is currently racing on Moto2. So far the performance has not been considered good, with just won the podium twice so that it is still stuck in the rank 7 Moto2 standings.
The 22-year-old admitted it. However, Marini, who rides for Sky Racing Team VR46, is determined to end the season well.
“The season is special. There have been many changes to the engine and tires and I have to change the style of the race. Now I am on the right track and finish the season as well as possible,” Marini said, as reported by Marca, at an event in Milan, Italy.
Marini also revealed his desire to rise to the MotoGP class. Interestingly, the Italian rider did not rule out opportunities to join Marquez, who incidentally is often involved in a fuss with Rossi.
While joking, Marini explained that she was determined to defeat Rossi, who in fact was her stepbrother.
“Of course, and then I will beat him on the track,” joked Marini, then laughed.
“Everyone goes according to their wishes and MotoGP will be a dream if it’s fulfilled. Also, if you get an official call from Honda, you can’t say no,” he said.
