The unpleasant news came from Johann Zarco ahead of the 14th race at the Aragon Grand Prix, this weekend. This is because the KTM team will not use his services as their iron horse riders for the rest of the season.
Zarco is certainly no longer going down to the racetrack starting from MotoGP Aragon onwards and his position was replaced by Mika Kallio. That was stated by the Director of KTM Motosport, Pit Breier.
Breier said it had made a decision about making the best use of available resources and actually taking positive steps for team development. Breier believes Kallio can help the team find new directions in the rest of the series this season.
“Kallio is not a stranger at KTM. Mika has more knowledge about the KTM RC16 motorbike,” Breier said as reported by Tuttomotoriweb, Thursday (09/19/2019).
KTM’s attitude clearly made Zarco forced to remain unemployed. Though he still leaves a contract with the team from Austria until 2020. That is, the French racer is faster leaving the team.
So far all seats, both in the manufacturing and satellite teams, are full. That is, there is no place anymore for Zarco in the most prestigious motor racing competition in the world next season.
