MotoGP 2020: Ducati Confidence Hit by Coronavirus

The primary class race of the 2020 MotoGP world championship has not been able to start because of the Corona virus. Even though the Ducati faction was already feeling confident.

MotoGP 2020 should start with a race in Losail, Qatar earlier this month. But in anticipation of the Coronavirus pandemic, the race that was held at that time was only Moto2 and Moto3.

It was a separate blow for the Ducati camp. It’s nothing, Andrea Dovizioso has a record of winning two consecutive seasons there. According to General Manager of Ducati Gigi Dall’Igna, Danilo Petrucci has also shown good performance in the preseason.

‘After the last few tests, I felt confident. In Dovizioso racing simulation using used tires, together with Petrucci, everything went well,’ Dall’Igna told Sky Italia, quoted by Autosport.

‘Towards the end, the time is slightly increased but I am sure Andrea will be able to perform as well as he has done in the last two years. I also see an improvement in Danilo’s performance compared to Sepang.’

‘I would be happy if only the Qatar race continued because we should be able to perform well,’ he said.

MotoGP Racing 2020 itself is now planned to start in Jerez in early May. Defending champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) won there in the last two seasons.
