Trevor Bauer Likes To Make Himself “Uncomfortable” in Order To Improve.

Trevor Bauer

Trevor Bauer is a player who needs no introduction in the world of baseball. Some critics rate him as one of the greatest pitchers in the history of MLB. The 30-year-old recently signed a contract with the LA Dodgers after spending last season with the Cincinnati Reds. This three-year deal will see him earn up to $47m if he chooses to opt-out after it.

It was only fitting for the Cy Young award winner to join the current World-Series champions. Building up to the upcoming season, all eyes are on Bauer to see if he can continue his scintillating form for a new franchise.

Trevor Bauer pitches an inning with one eye closed!

In a spring training game against the San Diego Padres, Trevor Bauer pitched for an entire inning with one eye closed. When asked about the incident, he said, “I like making myself uncomfortable and throwing different stuff my way and trying to find a solution for it,” he said. “That’s how you improve. Find a way to make yourself uncomfortable, then get comfortable with it and do it again.”

He continued, “I figured if they can’t score off of me with one eye open, it’s going to be difficult to score off me with two eyes open.” The LA Dodgers have used their world series victory to good effect this offseason. In fact, they have made the signings of Trevor Bauer, Matt Davidson, and Julio Urias among others.

Bauer Happy to return to his home town:

When his signing was made public in February, Trevor Bauer came out and spoke to reporters on a zoom call.  He said that the transition has been easy for him. That is because he knows the city and he knows the Dodgers stadium. Trevor Bauer spent his college days at UCLA and spent his childhood years attending Dodgers’ games.

I want to win a World Series,” he said. “I’ve come in second both in college and the big leagues. I’m tired of it,” said Bauer about his trade.
