MLB’s new rule regarding playing without a DH will turn Adam Wainwright and Madison Bumgarner into a full DH. However, Wainwright feels the pitchers will require putting full effort in their position so that the teams don’t switch them from the respective playing position in the long run.
Wainwright signed a one-year contract with the St. Louis Cardinals and set to add another chapter to his storied career. He has been playing with the team for the last 16 years as a pitcher. However, numerous teams have tried to sign Uncle Charlie in their name.
Nevertheless, the 39-year-old chose to return to the only team he spent his major league career with. “I’m glad to be a St. Louis Cardinal. I love being a St. Louis Cardinal. I think there’s some things that I really like about this chance, our chances of winning this year,” Wainwright told FOX Sports.

However, MLB’s new rule may push him to think again about the Cardinals’ winning chances.
Adam Wainwright’s plan to rule out NBA’s new rule
Recently MLB has instructed National League teams to prepare in a way that there will be no DH in 2021. Therefore, teams will have to play without any Designated Hitters.
This decision from MLB will definitely turn the pitchers into DH. Pitchers will need to emphasize both hitting and pitching. Hence, there are chances that pitchers will fail to concentrate on their regular position.

St. Louis Cardinals’ pitcher Adam Wainwright has a different plan to tackle this situation. He thinks all the pitchers should concentrate on their regular position and try to convince the respective teams from changing their positions for the long term.
“Me & Madison need to step our game up so that they change their minds about switching to the DH full-time,” says Adam Wainwright.

It's probably their last season ever to swing the bat. So I asked 5 pitchers to lay out their offensive dreams. It was fun!https://t.co/2Y3g4Xnik7

However, it can be a good opportunity for the pitchers to swing the bat for the first time. They can check their hitting abilities and decide if they want to switch positions.
