Marquez Upset In Hospital, Rossi Feels Shame For Falling
Preparation ahead of the 2019 Thailand MotoGP was marked by an accident that befell Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez. Both drivers were disturbed because of the incident.
Rossi fell while diving a qualifying session at the Buriram Circuit, Thailand, last Saturday (05/10/2019). On the same day, Marquez also suffered a similar accident and was even treated in the hospital.
Director of the MotoGP Medical Team, Dr. Angel Charte, said that Marquez was upset because he was taken to the hospital. In fact, it is a racer safety procedure.
“Emotionally, he was angry with me and the medical team because I did not let him out because I took him to the Buriram Hospital. But this is the character of a champion,” Angel Charte was quoted as saying by Marca.
In contrast to the emotional Marquez, Rossi actually felt ashamed because he realized the accident occurred due to his own mistakes.
“The accident was embarrassing. Maybe we could start from a slightly better position because my speed in the four free practice sessions wasn’t too bad,” said Rossi.
Thailand MotoGP Race will take place today, Sunday (6/10/2019) afternoon WIB. If Marquez wins the race, he will seal the 2019 MotoGP world title today.
