Marc Marquez’s victory at MotoGP Aragon on Sunday (9/22/2019) made the points even more overtaken in the standings. It took another win for Marquez to seal the world title.

Appearing at the Aragon Circuit, Marquez became the first racer to touch the finish line with a record time of 41 minutes 57,221 seconds. The racer nicknamed The Alien Baby now has 300 points, 98 points adrift of his closest competitor, Andrea Dovizioso.

Mathematically, with five races remaining this season, Marc Marquez points will not be overtaken by any racer if he wins one more race. That is, at the nearest race in Thailand, Marquez could have sealed the world title.

“Of course it (the title of world champions, red ) was in my head, but Thailand is a new track for me. Dovizioso also never gave chase,” said Marquez was quoted Crash.

The Thai MotoGP race will take place at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, 6 October 2019.
