Marc Marquez still hasn’t fully recovered after suffering a shoulder injury

Puig: Alex's arrival could influence the appearance of Marc Marquez

Marc Marquez calls his current rehabilitation process more difficult than ever. He hopes to be able to take the MotoGP pre-season test session in Malaysia.

The Baby Alien suffered an injury while taking a test at the Jerez Circuit on November 25, 2019. A medical examination showed that Marquez suffered a partial dislocation on his right shoulder.

Two days later, the 2019 MotoGP world champion underwent surgery at a hospital in Barcelona. This was the second time his shoulder was operated on, after the previous season Marquez’s left shoulder was dissected due to an injury.

After the operation of his right shoulder, Marquez underwent recovery to restore his condition to be fit. Even though it has been almost two months resting, the Repsol Honda team rider claimed to have not been fully fit until now.

‘The rehabilitation is different from last year. I want the current recovery to be better, but now it is rather difficult,’ Marquez was quoted as saying by Speedweek.

‘In 2019, I underwent surgery on my left shoulder and the rehabilitation was different. It should have been easier this time, but in fact, it wasn’t like that. I hope we can still take the test in Sepang,’ Marquez revealed.

The MotoGP pre-season test at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, was held on 7-9 February 2020. Three days before the trial, the Repsol Honda team will introduce their two riders, Marc and Alex Marquez, in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, MotoGP 2020 starts the race premiered on 8 March. The Losail Circuit, Qatar, became the first arena for drivers to ride on this new season.
