Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez has just finished undergoing right shoulder surgery at the hospital. Dexeus-Quiron University, Barcelona. Now the racer gets the green light to perform at Sepang.

Marquez underwent surgery because he underwent subluxation in his right shoulder. Dr. Xavier Mir, who handled the injury, is optimistic that the racer can appear in the 2020 MotoGP pre-season test at the Sepang Circuit.

The pre-season test is planned to be held in February 2020. Looking at Marquez’s current condition, Dr. Mir expressed her opinion.

“It’s hard to say when that (recovering) will happen, but I think he will be ready for the Sepang test, even though he will not be 100% fit there,” Dr. Mir told Speedweek.

For your information, this is not the first time Marquez underwent surgery after completing the racing season. Last year the Spanish rider also underwent a similar operation, but on his left shoulder.

“We will do our best to ensure that he can undergo the new season in the best condition,” continued Dr. Mir.
