Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez called 2019 the best season of his career. Marquez is not sure he can repeat similar achievements in the future.
Marquez is so dominant in MotoGP this year. The Spaniard has won 11 of the 17 races he completed and has never finished worse than second place.
For the phenomenal appearance, Marquez could lock the eighth world title in Thailand when the championship still leaves four series. Marquez collected 395 points after being runner-up in Sepang, Malaysia two weeks ago.
The acquisition ensured the 26-year-old rider as the owner of the highest points record in a MotoGP season, surpassing the previous record held by Jorge Lorenzo (383) in 2010.
Given the 2019 MotoGP still leaves the last series in Valencia (11/17/2019), Marquez is very possible to penetrate 400 points at the end of this season.
Aside from an almost perfect appearance, this year feels even more special for Marquez. Following the success of his biological younger brother, Alex, who appeared as a champion in the Moto2 class.
“It’s always nice to celebrate the championship title at Cervera, but this year I was very excited because I could do it with my brother Alex.”
“This is the eighth world title I have now, a great achievement that I must enjoy,” he continued. (Crash)
“2019 is my best year in MotoGP and the best in my career. Next year I hope we will approach many things the same way and with the same target: to become champions again.”
