Mane: Liverpool deserves to win over Leicester

Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has insisted his team deserves a win over Leicester City.

Liverpool host Leicester in the eighth match of the 2019-20 Premier League. The match held at Anfield took place even though the Reds were superior in the possession and produced several chances in the Foxes penalty box.

Liverpool took the lead through Mane in the 40th minute. But they visited the second goal and immediately turn off the resistance Leicester.

As a result, Leicester can even the score. They broke Adrian’s goal through James Maddison’s kick in the 80th minute.

But Liverpool finally scored with a James Milner penalty in the 90th minute +5. Prize kick from the 12th point was given after Mane was dropped in the penalty box by Marc Albrighton.

Worth Winning

Fans considered that Jurgen Klopp’s troops won because they were lucky. But Mane denied that assumption. He asserted that his team was indeed worthy of picking three points in the match.

“I think it will be very important for us to continue to manage the game, but sometimes it’s not easy because Leicester is a very, very good team and causes us many problems. They equalize and that’s why in football you never give up, that’s what we try to do it as a team, “he said on the official Liverpool website.

“At the end of the match, we got a penalty. To be honest, we just have to say we deserve to win this match,” Mane stressed.

Tired opponents

Liverpool played just three days after playing against RB Salzburg in the Champions League. Mane admitted that his team players were indeed exhausted, but they still struggled to reach the maximum three points.

“Emotional today,” Mane answered when asked about his feelings after the fight.

“To be honest, I think it’s a very, very difficult game. We knew that beforehand and had expected it. We played the Champions League [on Wednesday] and now we continue with this intense game. But it’s normal, it’s the Premier League and we should expect it all the time, “he exclaimed.

“In the end, the most important thing is three points, no matter how tired we are,” concluded Mane.

After undergoing the match against Leicester City, Liverpool will undergo a heavy duel. Sadio Mane et al will face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
