Harry Kane did not cover his disappointment after Tottenham Hotspur lost to Liverpool in the English Premier League. He felt his team let the Reds seize the advantage that has been obtained in the match at Anfield Stadium on Sunday (10/27/2019) night.
“We tried to do everything to win the match and it did not go according to our wishes. It hurts,” Kane said by Foxsport on Monday (10/28/2019).
“Every time you lose a match, it’s never a step forward. It’s disappointing. What we can do now is wait for Everton to leave next week,” the England captain continued.
Meanwhile, coach Mauricio Pochettino also expressed his disappointment. But he did not want to discuss the matter of a penalty given by the referee because of Serge Aurier’s violation of Sadio Mane.
“I have no complaints about penalties. You can have your own opinion. That is a fair reaction,” he told the BBC.
“We tried in the last 10 or 15 minutes (to score the equalizer) and had a chance but that is no longer possible,” he stressed.
