Logan Paul considers himself like an “animal” and not a YouTuber after dedicating himself to boxing. After officially becoming a boxer, the California man was trying to get the title.
The United States boxer will realize his dream of becoming a champion by being trained by Shannon Briggs, a former world heavyweight champion. As the first step to his eligibility test as a fighter, Paul will duel again with rivals fellow Youtuber, KSI at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, this weekend.
Paul, who has millions of fans on social media, is fully committed to his professional boxing debut. He intends to release all his emotions against KSI at the Staples Center. “I said it two months ago, this is not a child who made a YouTube video at the beginning of the year,” Paul told Sky Sports.
“That is not this child. I am a boxer and I feel that way, and I feel like an animal. I will come on this red carpet and smile, but there is a demon in me that I am trying to fight now,” he continued.
Briggs believes Paul has all the capital needed to be successful in sports and has planned a fast road to a title race. “He has amazing reflexes, he is athletic in everything, he has a hard hit,” Briggs said. “I think we are looking at the future of boxing, I mean that. I believe he has everything he needs. I believe in time, three to five years, we can compete to get the real championship,” he said.
Asked about Paul’s future plans, Briggs added: “This is not the end, this is only the beginning. He will be fighting again soon. We hope to get 10 to 12 battles next year, and 12 battles next year.”
But KSI finished its training camp in Las Vegas, under the guidance of Jeff Mayweather, Uncle Floyd, and England planning to ruin all pre-fight predictions with Paul.
“This is one thing to say, and that is another thing to do it,” KSI told Sky Sports. “He will try and say all this, it looks great.”
