On July 28th, 2019, Harvey Elliot, the sixteen-year-old first-team winger for Fulham, moved to Liverpool, a club he has always supported since his childhood.

After his move, he said, “I am thrilled to join the same club I supported as a child. It is an incredible feeling to be called a red. I feel Anfield is the best place for me to develop myself as a player and advance in my career.”

On February 10, 2021, Fulham received four million pounds from Liverpool for Harvey Elliot as part of a decision taken by a tribunal. Fulham was under the impression that they would receive eight million pounds. The fee they will receive is set to be a record one for a sixteen-year-old player in the league.

Furthermore, Fulham will receive twenty percent of any transfer fee, should Harvey Elliot Elliot be sold off.

Consequently, this will all depend on his overall performances at the club and loan.

Game time as a first-team player was not as often as Harvey Elliot would have liked. His first appeared in an EFL cup game against Milton Keys Dons, his second was against Arsenal in the same competition and his final appearance was at Sheffield United where he made his Premier League debut.

In October 2020, Elliot secured a loan move to Blackburn Rovers, where he has scored four goals and contributed eight assists in twenty-two Championship matches. This is the set of skills that Liverpool will utilize. Should they recall him back from his loan?

The fee Liverpool will pay Fulham makes Harvey Elliot wise recruitment and one to watch out for.
