
Liverpool players dominate UEFA’s best squad list
Liverpool players dominate the 2019 UEFA best squad announced this week. The Reds accounted for five names from a list of 11 players.
The five players are Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, and Sadio Mane. The rest, two names from Barcelona and Juventus, then one name each from Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
Barcelona contributed the names of Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong. While Juventus contributed Cristiano Ronaldo and Matthijs de Ligt. Two other players namely Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich and Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City.
The composition of UEFA’s best squad in 2019 is determined by the poll held on the official website of the European Football Agency throughout 2019. Liverpool contributed five players after they were impressive after winning three trophies last year.
Not only are five players on the best squad list, UEFA’s official website also shows that there were 10 Liverpool players in the list of the 50 best footballers last year.
