The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the top contenders for the championship. However, the team’s lack of consistency is very concerning as they have failed to create a strong winning streak.
The first half of the 2020-2021 NBA season has been very chaotic for the Clippers at 26-15. However, the Clippers were able to create some buzz when Kawhi Leonard and Paul George shared the court together.
Clippers’ Small Forward Leonard is worried about the inconsistency. Usually, the great teams tend to be consistent. He said, “I’m very concerned you know if you want to have a chance at anything you got to be consistent you know that’s what the great teams do they’re consistent it’s all about consistency.”
ESPN’s analyst Stephen A. Smith totally agreed with the Clippers star. “I’ve got some good news for you Kawhi Leonard. The clippers are consistent consistently disappointing when you’re relying upon something else.
From now after getting blown out last night by the New Orleans Pelicans a team that’s well well out of the playoff hunt right now the clippers have now lost four their last five-seven of their last 11,” Smith conveyed.
Los Angeles Clippers to look for some consistency
It has been seen that whenever the Clippers win a game, they lose the next game. That is how they have lost half of the tournament games and stand at 26-15. However, they played well last night against the Dallas Mavericks. They overpowered the Mavericks by 109 points while Mavericks scored 99. Kawhi Leonard’s all-around offensive effort pushed the team to victory. He finished with 22 points. However, it was a team effort, and seven Clippers players scored double figures.
If they can perform like this keep the consistency, they will have a chance for the finals. Smith thinks Leonard should keep his consistency and step up for the team. “But I also know it’s time for Kawhi Leonard to get a whole bunch of attention pushed in his direction that’s right I said it it’s time for him to step up,” the analyst said.
The Clippers will play the Mavericks again on Thursday. It’s time to see if they can keep the consistency and make the streak at two.
