Khabib Nurmagomedov can fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on one condition

Khabib Nurmagomedov could duel with former world boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, there is one condition that was put forward by UFC fighters.

The news about the duel Khabib vs Mayweather began to circulate on social media. It has been rumored that the UFC athletes and former boxers will compete in the boxing ring in 2020.

Khabib currently holds the UFC lightweight world champion with a 28-0 record. While Mayweather is a former boxing world champion in five different classes which recorded 50 wins and was unbeaten.

Mayweather has previously experienced competing against UFC athletes. He once won a TKO over Conor McGregor in a boxing ring duel in 2017, as well as being his last official fight before hanging up a sarong.

Related to the duel speculation between Khabib vs Mayweather, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov also spoke out. According to Khabib’s father, his son still has a chance to fight The Money.

However, Abdulmanap asked for one condition that must be met. He wants the duel to last 12 rounds, which is 11 rounds using boxing rules and the rest is a UFC-style duel.

‘Mayweather has the statistics of fighting 50 wins without defeat and he wants to duel with fellow champions who have never lost a fight, with Khabib. Everything is possible, but we are focusing on facing Tony Ferguson first,’ Abdulmanap was quoted as saying by Essentially Sports.

‘We have said that long ago; let us conquer Tony first, after that we will work with the Vasyl Lomachenko (Ukrainian boxer) team for six months. Then we are ready to fight in the boxing ring,’ he added.

“We have offered it everywhere at any time, but with one condition: 11 rounds of boxing and one round in mixed martial arts. We will face 11 rounds with the best boxer, so why not taste one round according to MMA rules with us?’ Abdulmanap said.
