Juventus will host Inter Milan at the Allianz Stadium in the continued Serie A 2019/20 competition on Sunday (08/03/2020).
This week, Serie A is supposed to play Week 27. However, several delays that occur due to the Coronavirus in Italy since two weeks ago made several matches change schedule. That includes the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals, Juventus vs AC Milan, and Napoli vs Inter Milan, which should have been played midweek yesterday.
The last time Juventus played their match was on 27 February 2019, against hosts Lyon in the last 16 of the Champions League first leg. Juventus gave up 0-1.
Meanwhile, Inter’s last match was February 28, 2019, which hosted Ludogorets Razgrad in the last 32 of the Europa League second leg. Inter won 2-1 through goals from Cristiano Biraghi and Romelu Lukaku and qualified with a 4-1 aggregate.
Lazio meanwhile leads the standings with 62 points from 26 matches. Juventus are ranked second with 60 points from 25 matches, while Inter has only played 24 matches and have 54 points ranked third.
At the first meeting in Serie A this season, Juventus won 2-1 at home to Inter, and the match was a stage for sharpening the sharpness of the Argentine players. Juventus took the lead through Paulo Dybala’s goal 4 minutes, and Inter evened the score through a Lautaro Martinez penalty in the 18th minute. Juventus’s victory was determined by Gonzalo Higuain’s goal in the 80th minute.
Inter cannot lose if they do not want to fall further behind in the hunt for the Scudetto Serie A. Can Antonio Conte, who will return to the Allianz Stadium for the first time as an opposing coach, bring Inter to a satisfactory result?
