James Harden Is Taking Charge at That Point-Guard Spot for Nets States DeAndre

James Harden scored a triple-double against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.

The Brooklyn Nets coasted to a 100-95 victory against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. James Harden got cooking in this game, scoring his ninth triple-double for the Nets. The Detroit Pistons put up a solid fight in this match until the last minutes. However, they struggled to cope up with the star-studded line-up of the Brooklyn Nets.

DeAndre Jordan was all praises for Harden in the post-game press conference. He said, “James is taking charge at that point-guard spot for our team.”

Apart from “The Beard”, Kyrie Irving also contributed heavily towards the win. He scored 18 points and recorded 5 assists during the match.

DeAndre Jordan waxes lyrical about James Harden:

In the post-game press conference, Jordan was asked to speak about Harden’s performance. He replied, “I was very happy with James having three blocks. James is doing so much for our team. Scoring when we need him to score, playmaking, rebounding the basketball. He is always at the right spot defensively.

He continued, “Whenever Kyrie’s out, he has been more aggressive. He is more of a playmaker. And for us to have him be able to do multiple things for us is great.”

Harden and DeAndre Jordan combined for a play that made it straight to the highlight reel. Harden came forward dribbling the ball, passed it to Jordan, who played a give-and-go with him to eventually finish it with a dunk. It was smooth and looked effortless while watching.

Talking about his performance for the team, James Harden said, “We’re more than capable of winning basketball games in different ways. We can be a team that’s making shots and everything is going smooth or we can be a team that (has to) get down and do the dirty work. …We held them to 95 (points). That’s a great defense. Our shot wasn’t falling but we found a way to win. I think that’s going to be key going into the postseason because everything isn’t going to be sweet.

The Brooklyn Nets are seconds in the Eastern Conference standings. They are well in contention for the playoffs at the moment. Some critics rate them as perfect championship contenders.

Moreover, with players like James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving on their roster, they will look forward to bring the Championship Trophy to Brooklyn for the first time since 1976.
