James Harden and DeAndre’s Relationship ‘Has Gotten a Lot Better’

James Harden

When James Harden was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, it gave birth to a super team in Brooklyn. The Beard along with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving sounds like a scary trio. Although they took some time to form chemistry, the team is now looking invincible.

While the entire team deserves credit, James Harden in particular has been brilliant. Since joining the Nets, he has regained his form and is one frontrunner to win the league MVP this season.

He is averaging 25.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 11.0 assists per game this season. Along with these numbers, Harden’s defense has also improved by a notch. All things considered, joining the Nets could finally help him win an NBA Championship.

When James arrived in Brooklyn, many sports pundits thought he would mess up the chemistry of the Nets. However, they were completely wrong as he is actually bringing the team together with his performances.

He has emerged as a locker room leader for the team alongside Durant and Irving. Tonight, the Nets defeated the Detroit Pistons behind another triple-double by Harden. In the game, the team looked absolutely in sync and played like they have shared the court for years.

Following the victory, Nets center DeAndre Jordan revealed his relationship with the 2018 NBA MVP. Jordan said:

It’s definitely gotten a lot better throughout the season it has gotten a lot better. Just playing with different guys throughout my career, on this team. Different guys have different tendencies, so just being able to be in the right spot for myself and for him, for us all to be successful.

“It was going to take some time, we knew it was going to take time, but once we got it down, we were going to be fine. James [Harden] is such a great passer and we have great conversations on the floor.”

Building chemistry is not an overnight thing. It is a process and takes some time to get to know your teammates. The Nets took their time and as a result, they now arguably have the best roster on the league.
