Jadeveon Clowney says he is open to the Tennessee Titans in 2021. A titan insider named Terry McCormick informs that Jadeveon Clowney is open for a reunion with Tennessee. He was ready for a reunion even after an uninspiring season with the team in 2020.

However, the entryways may be open for Clowney from the Tennessee Titans’ side. In any case, there were a few conditions.

The Deal with Jadeveon Clowney

There was a one year deal worth $13 million between Jadeveon Clowney and Tennessee Titans’. He signed the deal last year September. Regrettably, he could not make an exciting impact on the team.

In a limited time, Clowney tried to make an impactful record for the team and could record 19 combined tackles and six quarterback hits.

Clowney could not record a single sack in eight games. Additionally, his season ended up with a knee injury. The overall No. 1 pick of 2015 became a free agent. He spent his time with Houston Texas for the next five years, making the Pro Bowl season each from 2016 to 2018. Houston Texas did not enter into a long-term deal with Clowney. They shifted him to Seattle Seahawks before the 2019 season.

A league source stated Jadeveon Clowney is ready to return to the Tennessee Titans’ in 2021.

Tennessee Titans’ had two conditions before taking him back into the team:

  1. Jadeveon Clowney gets less payment in comparison to last year’s payment. According to Sportrac, the market value of Jadeveon Clowney in the current situation is $6.5 million. The deal will be a one year deal. Tennessee Titans have limited funds and they cannot provide anything further to Clowney.
  2. Clowney is a part but not the heart of the Tennessee Titans’. Clowney cannot be a part of the Tennessee Titans’ effort for improving its rotten pass rush. Jon Robinson, the General Manager should make a huge move on top of fetching back South Carolina’s product if that’s what is his final decision.

Tennessee Titans’ stated the above conditions for Clowney. Nevertheless, if getting Clowney back into the team restricts the Tennessee Titans’ from making a huge move, they should not do it.

Further, the 27-year-old native of South Carolina should try his luck in the next year offseason. He might get familiarised with the defensive system soon.
