Apparently, Dan Hooker is willing to do whatever it takes to secure a fight with Dustin Poirier, even if it means donating money to his foundation.

The 29-year-old New Zealander achieved the biggest victory of his career last Saturday, obtaining a deserved unanimous ruling on Al Iaquinta in the co-star of UFC 243. After his victory, he challenged Poirier, who dismissed the challenge while waiting for concrete revenge against either Justin Gaethje or Conor McGregor.

Eager to measure himself to a top 5 fighter, Hooker has publicly offered Poirier to donate half of his pay if he agrees to fight him.

“@DustinPoirier, if you accept the fight against me I will donate half of my first payment to your charity, @TheGoodFightFDN.”

In the tweet, Hooker also reveals his interest in starring the return of the octagon to the city of Auckland.

With the money that his foundation has raised so far – Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dana White donated $ 100,000 each -, Poirier hopes to build a well of freshwater for low-income children in Uganda who lost everything to a torrential flood.

Poirier, former interim champion, comes from being subjected in the third round by Nurmagomedov in a unifying fight that led the UFC 242.
