Pep Guardiola seems to start flying the white flag alias unable to fight in the race for the English League title 2019/2020. It was known when Manchester City failed to secure three points when they travel to the home of Tottenham Hotspur.
In the match that took place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (2/2) night WIB, City who played with 10 players had to settle for defeat after Steven Bergwijn and Son Heung-min brought the host to win with a score of 0-2.
Guardiola’s efforts to retain the Premier League title seem to be moving away. With 13 matches left, City doesn’t even have hope considering the Citizens are 22 points adrift of Liverpool as the top standings.
The city has now lost six matches in the Premier League this season. This situation is similar when Guardiola just handled the club in the 2016-2017 season.
The possibility of Guardiola dropping his concentration in the Champions League, FA Cup, and English League Cup.
‘Liverpool are far away so they are unstoppable. They have a lot of points, we have lost points that are very similar to today,’ said Guardiola, who only gave a press statement after 45 minutes after the match was quoted by LiveScore on Monday (3/2).
‘Our target is to win the remaining competition and qualify for the Champions League next season.’
