‘Forever He Will Live’ Jake Paul Sheds Tears Speaking Of Late Bodyguard ‘Shadow’, Dedicates Him Victory Over Ben Askren

Jake Paul enters the ring against Ben Askren in their cruiserweight bout

The biggest mystery about Jake Paul heading into his fight with Ben Askren on Saturday night was whether he could defeat a combat sports fighter. In a night loaded up with musical performances, Paul finished the battle in an overwhelming style. By taking out Askren at the 1:59 sign of the first round, Jake created history in Atlanta.

Ahead of his much-anticipated eight-round boxing match with Ben Askren, Jake Paul dedicated the fight to Shamir Bolivar, his bodyguard. ‘The Problem Child’ spoke about it during the weigh-ins and face-off ceremony of the event.

After the fight, Jake dedicated the win to late bodyguard, Shadow. He got emotional and broke down when asked to share a few words. Jake said, “When shadow passed away it was one of the difficult things I had to deal with. I had to hold it together as a warrior for my team. This one is truly for him. This guy was a legend, he had my back 24*7, I just wish he was here to see this. It’s been hard for all us, rest in peace Shadow, forever he will live.”

Paul still has a long journey to his goal of a professional boxer. He should not go after somebody who is anything but a skilled striker. You can see he has a few abilities, and the devotion is there, yet the jury will be out on Jake Paul until he does that.

Jake has done what he had promised, and he will try to maintain that. Hopefully, he will reap the fruits soon.
