Marc Marquez does not seem to want to overexert himself to think about celebrating the 2019 MotoGP world title. What he thinks now is to look as good as possible for the rest of the season.
The Thai Grand Prix will be a very special place for Marquez. Not only holding a stamp as a defending champion, but his chances of ending the MotoGP championship race are also wide open.
“We had a great weekend at Aragon and it was a great pleasure to win in front of our host audience. I want to bring this energy to Thailand to be able to experience an equally strong weekend,” Marquez was quoted as saying by Speedweek, Thursday (3/10) / 2019).
Speaking about preparations ahead of the Thai GP, Marquez said that nothing had changed from the previous race. He added, the situation remained the same ie trying as hard as possible to stand strong on the first podium.
“Last year we had a very interesting race in Thailand. Maybe we can give a good show to the fans again this year.”
With five races and 125 points remaining, mathematically only Andrea Dovizioso can thwart Marquez’s chance to become a MotoGP world champion this year. But it seems that it will be difficult considering the Repsol Honda team driver only needs two more points than the Ducati jockey to win the eighth title in the elite MotoGP class.
