Former president of Real Madrid, Ramon Calderon, said that Jose Mourinho chose to join Tottenham Hotspur as a stepping stone.
He said Mourinho was waiting for a job at Real Madrid. Calderon, 68, believes Tottenham is not Mourinho’s last port.
He believes that Mourinho’s desire to join Real Madrid. “I think Mourino took this opportunity because he might have had enough of waiting for Zidane to be fired or resign,” Ramon Calderon was quoted as saying by Talk Sport on Friday (11/22/2019).
“Real Madrid is a great club that is in poor form. He (Mourinho) will take advantage of this very good opportunity,” said Ramon Calderon.
Mourinho has a fairly successful record at the Santiago Bernabeu between 2010 and 2013. The 56-year-old coach has a percentage of 72% of 178 matches at Real Madrid and won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
