Sebastian Vettel failed to win Formula 1 Japan GP 2019 despite starting the race from pole position.
The race was won by Valtteri Bottas from the Mercedes racing team.
Appearing at Suzuka Circuit, Japan, Sunday (10/13/2019), Vettel started the race from the front grid, however, he started a bad start until finally his car was overtaken by Bottas.
In the rest of the race, Bottas managed to dominate the race until he finally became the first racer to touch the finish line.
After the race, Vettel claimed his car failed to start smoothly.
“It was a very bad start. Then it was difficult, Mercedes has more speed than us. A difficult afternoon to stay second, but overall it is a positive thing,” said Vettel the Ferrari driver.
For Mercedes, the result of Bottas ‘victory at Suzuka made them lock in the constructors’ world championship in 2019. This was their sixth straight title in Formula 1.
