Fabio Quartararo: I will undergo further treatment before appear on FP3

Fabio Quartararo was grateful there were no serious injuries, after the Yamaha satellite racer had an accident during a free training session on the first day at the Phillip Island Circuit, Friday (10/25/2019). Quartararo had an accident when the track conditions were wet on FP1.

At that time the French racer was thrown from the M1 Petronas Yamaha motorbike while trying to conquer bend 6.

Quartararo had to be moved using a stretcher. He was then rushed to the medical center to find out how severe the injury was to him. From the examination results it is known, he did not experience a broken bone.

Although declared not injured, Quartararo missed FP2. “I lost the rear wheel, then I recovered the braking problem and I was thrown up. I was lucky because, after a strong impact on my ankle, I didn’t break anything,” Quartararo was quoted as saying by Crash.

Quartararo will now undergo further treatment before he decides to appear on FP3. “Tomorrow we will see. We have a lot of pain in the legs. It’s a pity not to be able to go up today in the afternoon, but at the same time, I am very happy that I did not have a severe injury. Everything hurts, but I was lucky.”
