Fabinho has finally gained recognition as the best midfielder for his performances with Liverpool this season. The statement came not from the camp of the Red but football commentator Gary Neville who incidentally is a former Manchester United player.
Neville seems impressed with the appearance of Fabinho this season. He said the Brazilian passport player was more clever in maintaining the rhythm of Liverpool than N’Golo Kante and Fernandinho.
“You talk about England, the World Cup and the European Championships, but in the Premier League, Fabinho is really sensational. I think Fabinho right now is the best. Because what Fabinho actually did, he didn’t sit still in the game. It holds the line players center who only plays horizontally, passes sideways, crosses, but Fabinho also plays vertically, “Neville was quoted as saying on Sky Sports on Tuesday (09/17/2019).
Neville added Fabinho had the advantage in terms of bait. As an attacking midfielder, he was able to be the best feeder for Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Firmino.
“Fabinho went forward with his pass, he moved forward and stepped in and won the ball back. I think the best defensive midfield players are not just people who basically stray and make it look simple, they also step into the game,” added Neville.
For your information, since his arrival in 2018, Fabinho has made at least 48 appearances for the Reds. With details, score 1 goal and make 3 assists.
