Max Verstappen honours 50th birthday of Redbull Legend David Coulthard by gifting his F1 season helmet

Max Verstappen, the Dutch-Belgian Red Bull driver gifted his new 2021 Formula One helmet to David Coulthard on the occasion of his birthday. David, the Red Bull legend who drove for the Milton Keynes based team during 2005 to 2008 season turned 50 this year.

Wishing Coulthard on his birthday, Max posted a picture with him on his social media handle Twitter. The 23-year-old posed with his Formula One 2021 season helmet with the British Red Bull legend David Coulthard.

Verstappen, who’s one of the favourite this season to win the driver’s Championship posted the picture with the caption, “Look who turned 50 today. The living proof that age is just a number

Adding on, Verstappen is in superb form right now and that reflected in the pre-testing charts at Sakhir. The Dutch-Belgian was one of the fastest on the slot to rake up lap time.

Red Bull management and fans believe that Max Verstappen can dethrone the seven times world champion Lewis Hamilton and help Red Bull to take the Constructor’s Championship away from Mercedes AMG F1 this year.

Who is David Coulthard and why he is important?

Nicknamed DC, the Formula One legend was born in 1971 in Scotland. David Coulthard is the former Formula One driver who drove for the teams like Williams, McLaren and Red Bull Racing. The driver was in Formula One for 15 seasons with 2001 season being his best. Coulthard was runners up with McLaren that season.

With a total of 13 wins in his tally and 62 overall podiums, the veteran retired from driving career back in 2008. After retiring, the Briton legend took up the job as a presenter, commentator and journalist.

Adding on, Channel 4 Formula One pundit Coulthard in fact favoured Max Verstappen over Lewis Hamilton this year as the title favourite in an interview with the channel.

This was Coulthard’s 50th birthday and he couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift and celebrations from Red Bull association.
