Lando Norris, the British driver for McLaren F1 stated that the chances for overtakes at Imola is a tough job. Being a narrow track, it is very difficult to overtake side by side without causing collision or going out of the track.
As the overtaking is tough here, the positioning at the Grid is important. Lando, along with McLaren team management hopes to end the final qualification at podiums to give them an early advantage right from the start of the race. The better their final qualification is, the better their chances are to end up with good results.
Norris, while talking about his preparation at Imola in an interview, conveyed, “It’s great to be back at Imola again this season. As always, we’ll be aiming to maximise the time on-track to get the most out of the car in preparation for qualifying and the race. Track position is important in Imola with limited chances for overtakes. Turn One will be the best opportunity to make a pass, and it could be tricky elsewhere with the track being so narrow.”
Lando is ready for Imola. Are you? 👊

Lando Norris wants to fare better at Imola than Bahrain
The 21-year-old driver seemed happy with the team’s performance at Bahrain. However, the young man wants to improve further at Imola. On that regard, he further asserted, “We’ve started the season with a good team result in Bahrain. Our aim is to keep progressing and maximising performance at each race.
There are still areas we need to work on to try and unlock that extra bit of potential that can make us more competitive, but we’re pushing hard to make those steps.”

The race at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari Circuit is due to start in a few days time. McLaren are all the way up to push harder and give Red Bull Racing and Mercedes AMG F1 a run for their money.
The Briton seemed excited for some on-track battles at Imola. It will be interesting to see how Lando fares when the race goes underway.
