Toto Wolff is “Worrying too much” About Red Bull, Claims Helmut Marko

Helmut Marko, the Red Bull veteran expressed his dissatisfaction with Mercedes AMG principal Toto Wolff. The Austrian veteran called out his Mercedes counterpart for his outrageous involvement in Red Bull’s affairs.

The Mercedes and Red Bull bosses are in the news lately due to the exchange of their engineering. Almost half a dozen Engineers are set to leave Silver Arrows and move for the Bulls in the coming days.

Marko, in an interview conveyed in this regard, “We defend our positions and we also make our opinions known. Sometimes we feel that Toto is worrying too much about us or about Formula 1 in general. It’s clear that we’re looking out for our own advantage. The fact that the choice of words between two Austrians sometimes gets a bit more explosive has to be seen as a national matter”

Red Bull are set to build their own powertrains from the next season onwards and they’re hiring Engineers from Silverstone. Wolff, reacting to the situation asserted, “I respect everybody that wants to defend their business or build their business, and the retaliation time has not yet come. But credit to the project, it is a Mount Everest to climb, I would like to have a fight with Red Bull power units.”

On the track both Red Bull and Mercedes are title contenders this season. With three races down, the reigning Champions won two, while the Bulls have won one.

Mercedes are leading the Championship with 101 points, while Red Bull are trailing them closely with 83 points so far. With the fourth race set to take place tomorrow, the off track battle between the bosses and the team management are a treat to watch as well for the fans.
