Mark Webber, the former Red Bull Racing driver has talked about the potentiality of Red Bull claiming their fifth Championship title. The Milton Keynes-based team seems hungrier than ever for the much-coveted title.
The team from Austria has won their last Championship back in 2013 when Sebastian Vettel was a Red Bull Driver. Fast forward from then to now, Mercedes has dominated the sport like never before, claiming back-to-back Championship till the last 2020.
Red Bull looks much in line to challenge the Silver Arrows for the winner’s trophy, this season. Further, with the addition of Sergio Perez in the lineup beside title contender Max Verstappen, the Red Bull squad looks fiery.

The former Australian driver in an interview with Marca, conveyed, “They have never been so ready. They know they have a great chance, they know they have to be very precise and always be ready for the fight because Lewis doesn’t give you a second chance.”
Red Bull has the right man in the cockpit, feels Mark Webber
The 44-year-old Aussie further voiced about Red Bull’s star driver, Max Verstappen who’s in sharp form, “They have the right man for it in the cockpit. In the last race we saw what they are capable of doing in the pit stops… Mercedes are not being the best at this, although they are a great team, of course. But every part of the Red Bull team is psyched to fight and they know how to fight to win, there are other teams that are not used to it, but Red Bull is.”

The new rake regulations by FIA have come as an advantage for the Austrian team. Red Bull uses a high rake system in their RB16B car, whereas Mercedes still uses a low rake in their W12. In doing so, the RB16B is about 1 second faster in every lap than its Sliver Arrows’ counterpart.
Webber’s former team is currently in P2 with 53 points accumulated after the weekends in Bahrain and Emilia circuits. They’re trailing Mercedes with 7 points, who are at 60 points now. With the Portuguese Grand Prix coming up, the Milton Keynes-based team will do everything possible to topple the Silver Arrows in the quest for the Championship.
