“There’s No need to Pick Him up”: Remarks Andreas Seidl On Super Controlled Lando Norris

Lando Norris claims P1 is worth the risk when Ferrari's Charles Leclerc missed the opportunity to go ahead of Max Verstappen at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

Andreas Seidl, the McLaren Formula One team principal talked about his driver Lando Norris and his ability to get back into success soon. Seidl believes the British driver is capable enough to come back stronger all by himself.

Lando had decent start to the season with McLaren this year. The young Briton has managed to secure P4 in Bahrain, P3 in Italy, P5 in Portugal, however Spain Norris only managed P8. So, fans started to think if Lando can get back to perform again. But the McLaren boss believes he’s capable enough.

In an interview with Motorsport Week, Seidl conveyed, “I think there’s no need to pick him up, in the end we have to accept how this weekend went. Lando, so far, has had an incredible start to the season with incredible performances so there’s no need to pick him up. He’s fine. And I’m sure he will strike back together with us in the next races.”

The 45-year-old German Engineer and boss further asserted on this, “Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to finish higher in qualifying despite having a car that had more potential. We all know about the circumstances. So it’s important also to simply move on.”

Norris currently stands at P4 in the driver’s standings this year, trailing Mercedes man Valtteri Bottas (P3) by just 6 points after four races. McLaren management and fans believe Lando can turn this upside down and come back to P3 in the next race at Monaco in a weeks time.
