“The Symbiosis Between Us Is Good” Conveys Toto Wolff on Mercedes’ Impeccable Relation With Lewis Hamilton

Toto Wolff, the Mercedes Team Principal, talks about the relationship between the German constructor and their driver Lewis Hamilton, as there are many rumors regarding the Briton’s future.

Hamilton joined the Brackley stables in 2013, after leaving McLaren, which many considered a foolish move by the Briton. However, Hamilton won six titles with the German outfit. Now, the 36-year-old shares the title of seven-time world champion with legendary Michael Schumacher.

The Silver Arrow knight only signed a single-year contract with Mercedes. Therefore, F1 fans and experts believe Hamilton will hang up his helmet after claiming his eighth title in 2021.

However, many also claim the Englishman might join another team in the next season. Thus the Mercedes boss Wolff spoke up about the matter and claims both the parties have a powerful bond with each other. Therefore, Hamilton will only quit his career with the German constructor.

Wolff reported, “The symbiosis between us is good and we have celebrated so many successes together that from today’s perspective everything speaks in favor of continuing to race together.”

What is the future for Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes?

The seven-time world champion currently ranks P1 at the 2021 Driver Standing with 44 points ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. Meanwhile, Hamilton’s teammate Valtteri Bottas ranks P5 with 16 points.

Hamilton is fighting for his eighth title but Verstappen is giving a tough time to the Brit. As the rumors suggest this might be Hamilton’s last year in F1, then he needs to pull up his socks. Further, even if the Englishman retires after the ongoing season, there are many projects ahead of him. The 36-year-old is working along with Mercedes on a plan to get diversity into the sport and also fight against racism.

Lewis Hamilton will again go behind the wheels of Mercedes W12 at the Heineken Grande Prémio De Portugal 2021 on May 02. We might again witness the Silver Arrow knight at the Portuguese podium. However, Verstappen and Red Bull will be a constant threat to the Briton.
