Sebastian Vettel Reveals Why He is Ready to Accept Criticisms in Aston Martin

Sebastian Vettel

Sebastian Vettel, the German speedster has opened up about performance followed by the criticisms he’s facing at Aston Martin. The new Aston Martin recruit has failed to make a mark in his new team and stated that he’s ready to face criticism if there’s any.

The four time Formula One World Champion joined Aston Martin from Ferrari this season and couldn’t live up to his name as of now. Even his teammate Lance Stroll is in a better position than him.

In an interview with the Belgian broadcaster RBTF, Vettel conveyed, “But to be honest, it doesn’t really matter to me what people on the outside think. What I do expect is a sincere opinion from the team, and if that is criticism, I must accept it and do my best to change it”

Vettel feels he didn’t have enough time to settle down at his new team. With the New team, new management and new car one needs some time to settle, moreover when you’re a former World Champion the pressure is further high.

The 33-year-old German further asserted, “Obviously I would have liked more time and more testing to adapt, but it is impossible in our sport. It is difficult when we change teams. I feel like I have to wait for things to fall into place – I have to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. In my opinion, it will already be much better in a few races.”

Vettel is currently at P16 in the Driver’s standings and is yet to score a point. However, the 2013 Champion is of the opinion that with time things will get better and situation will improve and will always be open to criticism.
