Red Bull’s Helmut Marko Isolates ‘Vehicle Control’ Revolution Between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton

The neck-to-neck fight between Max Verstappen of Red Bull and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes will get more competitive.

Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko has talked about the difference between their homeboy Max Verstappen and Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton over Vehicle Control. Interestingly the Austrian International has put Max ahead of Lewis in the comparison where Vehicle Control and Speed is concerned.

Marko’s statement about Verstappen might have come after Red Bull upgraded their RB16B which has high rake system and is currently the fastest car on the track. This is a big achievement for the team as they’ve finally succeeded to dethrone Mercedes from being the best car in the sport.

Talking to the F1-Insider.com, the 77-year-old Engineer conveyed, “In terms of vehicle control and speed, Max is certainly ahead. But Lewis has more experience. It’s a balance at the moment. Max is learning at every race. He’s still young in years. Mistakes are more likely to happen, even if they are becoming fewer and fewer.”

Max Verstappen vs Lewis Hamilton going to be exciting, Marko believes

Keeping seven times world champion Lewis ahead in terms of experience, Helmut further asserted, “The two of them will settle the title between them. They are on equal footing and way ahead of everyone else. If we can continue to deliver him a car that will keep up with Mercedes, Max can do it. In any case, it’s going to be extremely exciting.”

Dutch International Max and Briton Lewis has been the top title contender since the start of the season. And the prediction has not been vague at all as the Englishman Hamilton has won the season’s first Bahrain Grand Prix while the Dutchman won the recently concluded Italian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton , 7 time world champion won the season opening race in Bahrain.

Hamilton edges past Max with just a point to be the leader in the drivers standings. Hamilton sits at P1 with 44 points while Verstappen is at 43. It’ll be interesting to see who wins the title at the end of the upcoming exciting season.
