Red Bull Traces ‘Small Gap’ Between Hamilton And Mercedes

Red Bull Chief Christian Horner claims to increase the budget cap for the three sprint races in 2021.

Red Bull Racing, the team from Austria managed to slim it down to a “small gap” between them and the reigning champions, the Mercedes AMG F1 team.

The Milton Keynes-based team is confident of putting a great fight against the most successful constructor in recent times Mercedes. As per Formula One experts, Red Bull along with Mercedes are the title favorites. Toto Wolff, the Mercedes principal also stated Red Bull has the advantage this season.

Helmut Marko, the team advisor of Red Bull expressed his views on Red Bull’s recent performance against Mercedes at the ongoing Bahrain Grand Prix. Marko, in an interview with Racing365.com, conveyed, “We have a solid car that has performed well. The gap to Hamilton and Mercedes is small.

The 77-year-old Austrian engineer further asserted on RB16B’s long run and drag reduction, “We are definitely optimistic about our long runs. We don’t know how far Mercedes can turn up the engine, but we hope we can battle it out in qualifying.”

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to go all out on Briton, Lewis Hamilton, and try to dethrone the seven-times world champion. Dutch-Belgian Verstappen was one of the quickest on the slot in the pre-testing at Sakhir Circuit.

The Red Bull fans are in high hopes of landing the Championship this season. The fans are this elated for the first time since Sebastian Vettel. It will just be a matter of time before we find out who wins it at Bahrain Grand Prix.
