Red Bull needs “quicker car” more than “fixing problems” recommends Team Chief Christian Horner

Christian Horner claims to take over the Honda Technology in April.

Red Bull Racing’s performance in the recently concluded pre-season testing was quite wonderful. Christian Horner, the Red Bull’s Team Principal, claims to have a good car for the 2021 season and only needs to make the new RB16B faster.

The 23-year-old Max Verstappen was phenomenal throughout the Bahrain test, ranking number one on the timesheet of the test. Meanwhile, the defending champions Mercedes was disappointing compared to the Austrian team, even faced a lot of technical issues with their new machinery0. The seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton mentioned having trouble with the stability of the new W12.

However, Red Bull number 33 claims it’s too soon for them to be at ease regarding their Brackley-based rivals. “It’s a bit too early to say, nobody really has shown anything,” reported Verstappen. “The engineers and everybody back at the factory, they want a lot of data, and afterward we’ll find out in Q3 on the first race weekend where we are.”

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner wants to make the RB16B faster

Christian Horner agrees with his Dutch driver, claiming the upcoming season will have more races than the past seasons. Thus, a quality team like Mercedes will have enough time to improve the performance of their new machinery. The Austrian Team boss even recalls the past incident, when Silver Arrows underperformed in Barcelona but made a comeback in the Australian Grand Prix.

The Austrian team is already busy with multiple projects like the taking over of the Honda-technology, budget-cap, and also the implementation of new rules and regulations for 2022. Team Principal Horner claims they don’t need to think much about the new RB16B and just need to work on making the car faster.

Horner said, “It’s good for us to be going to the race in Bahrain with a decent amount of mileage, a reasonable feeling from the car, and now all focus is on making the car quicker rather than fixing problems.”

Both Red Bull drivers- Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will be behind the RB16B in the first race at the Bahrain circuit on Sunday, March 28. We might expect the Dutch to repeat his outstanding performance in the Bahrain Grand Prix.
