Red Bull Decided to Sacrifice Holidays For Upgrading “2022 car and RB16B Car”, Declares Helmut Marko

Marko Helmut claims to find a balance between the development of Red Bull RB16B and the RB18 is the way for success.

Helmut Marko, the Red Bull Racing advisor has made it clear that they will spend their summer holidays for the development of their car. The Red Bull veteran made these comments after they’ve missed back to back wins to Mercedes in Spain.

Red Bull’s RB16B, what was supposed to be the fastest car on the track still lacks straight lane speed that Mercedes W12 has. The Bulls management thinks they need to upgrade their car in order to catch up to Mercedes.

In an interview after the Barcelona race, Marko conveyed, “We have decided that we will still be in development by the summer holidays – both for the 2022 car and the current car. Then we’ll see”

The Bulls team boss Christian Horner, also talked about this and their competition with Mercedes so far in this season, “We have now seen in all four races that Mercedes has a small advantage over us in race trim. From Bahrain to Barcelona”

Red Bull’s RB16B being a high rake car is supposed to be a bit faster than Mercedes’s low rake W12. However, things didn’t quite work for the Milton Keynes based team as they lacked straight line speed of around 14 kms/hr.

Max Verstappen, the Milton Keynes based driver talking about the car at Barcelona, stated “Too slow. That’s how you sum it up,”

With the last race at Spain, Red Bull (111 points) has fallen behind by 30 points from Mercedes (141 points) and Max Verstappen (79) is trailing Lewis Hamilton (94) by 15 points.

Helmut Marko, Christian Horner and the entire team management are of of the opinion that they need to improve their car even more to shrug off the Mercedes challenges and come out as the Champions!
