“Norris Had Gone up a Notch”, Conveys McLaren Team Principal, for the Racer’s Remarkable Podium Finish At Imola

Lando Norris claims P1 is worth the risk when Ferrari's Charles Leclerc missed the opportunity to go ahead of Max Verstappen at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

Lando Norris, the young McLaren driver has improved a lot over the past few seasons. Talking about his progress, Andreas Seidl the team Principal of McLaren, stated, the Briton’s performance has “gone up a notch”.

The British prodigy has secured a podium stand at the recently concluded Italian Grand Prix after starting from P7 in the Grid. Adding on, Lando also missed the podium by a whisker in this season’s first Grand Prix at Bahrain.

Talking to the Media, Andreas Seidl conveyed, “Norris had gone up a notch. I was slightly anxious for Lando because Ricciardo is a hot driver and he could have been destabilised by him coming in.”

The 1998 Champion further asserted, “What a great weekend. He’s always been a bit of a Bahrain specialist, so when he got a good result in Bahrain three weeks ago I came away thinking ‘I kind of expected that.

Whereas we went to Imola and he nailed it again and I was slightly taken aback by the gap to Daniel Ricciardo, who is top drawer yet was made to look bang-on average by Lando really and it must have been a really difficult one for him.” the McLaren team principal concluded.

McLaren expects big performances from Lando Norris

Norris having finished at P4 at Bahrain and P3 at Emilia Romagna has managed to find himself at P3 in driver’s standings with 27 points. The Englishman is right behind leader Lewis Hamilton and P2 Max Verstappen.
