
Max Verstappen claimed his first victory of 2021 at the Emilia Romagna GP. Now, the Dutch is revving up for the upcoming third race of the season.
The 23-year-old has been phenomenal this year, acing in the pre-season testing at Shakir. However, Verstappen lost to Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton at the season-opener in Bahrain.
The Dutch prodigy won the next race at the Autodrome Enzo e Dino Ferrari, whereas the Mercedes knight finished at P2. There are no doubts that the Milton Keynes outfit has the fastest car and might even dominate throughout the season.

Therefore, the Red Bull driver is confident about winning more poles this season. Therefore, Max wants to do his best in the upcoming races.
In a recent interview, Verstappen reported, “So far, every race weekend we have really felt that there is a chance to win. It feels like a different mindset now when you know you can go for pole position. We have certainly learned a lot over the years, so I am very curious to see what lies ahead. It’s not going to be easy, but we’re going to give everything to stay in contention this season.”
What is ahead of Max Verstappen in 2021?
The Red Bull pilot currently ranks P2 with 43 points behind Hamilton, who is topping the table with 44 points. Meanwhile, Verstappen’s Mexican teammate Sergio Perez is at P8.
The RB16B and both the Red Bull drivers are a complete package for the Austrian constructor in the 2021 season. However, Checo is still adapting to the Milton Keynes stable, but his teammate Verstappen claims soon they will be a potent force to put on a tough competition for the German constructor.

Many F1 pundits and fans claim that throughout the season, there will be an intense fight between Red Bull and Mercedes. Even the Brackley outfit has acknowledged the RB16B, and Max will be a tough competitor to defeat.
Max Verstappen is gearing up with the team engineers for the upcoming Heineken Grande Prémio De Portugal 2021. The Dutch prodigy might claim his second pole at the Portugal circuit and move ahead of Sir Hamilton in the standings.
