Sergio Perez, the Red Bull Racing driver talks about his new teammate Max Verstappen.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull had an amazing advent to the F1  2021 season. The Dutchman further claimed to make it “harder” for the German stable with his teammate Sergio Perez.

The 23-year-old Dutch dominated in the pre-season testing and the qualifying at Bahrain but lost to Lewis Hamilton in the season-opener. However, Verstappen got his revenge on the Silver Arrow Knight at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix with the P1 stand.

Meanwhile, the new Red Bull recruit, Sergio Perez amazed everyone with his driving strategies at Bahrain, finishing at P5 after a troublesome start in that race. Further, the Mexican got his first front-row grid position at Imola. However, Checo lost because of his freshness with the RB16B.

Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen will make it harder for Mercedes AMG F1 in the upcoming races of the 2021 Formula One.

However, Verstappen claims his Mexican teammate will soon get adapted to the new environment. Which will help them dominate together in the circuits. In an interview, the Dutchman said, “I hope we can fight together against Mercedes,

Because that’s only going to make it harder for Mercedes. If you can put pressure on one car with two cars, it’s always going to be more complicated for that one car.” He further added.

What is next for Max Verstappen and his team?

The young Dutchman is one of the best drivers in Formula One, right now. He ranks P2 at the 2021 Driver Standings with 43 points, behind the leading Lewis Hamilton. Meanwhile, Verstappen’s teammate Checo ranks P8 with 10 points. Both the drivers contributed 53 points to Red Bull, which is ranking P2 at the 2021 Constructor Standings behind Mercedes.

However, the pace Red Bull is showing in the ongoing season, they might even put a halt to Mercedes’ seven-year winning streak. The Dutch Prodigy also gave a tough conprtition to the seven-time World Champion at Bahrain and Imola. Therefore, there is a possibility for Verstappen to lift his Maiden title in 2021.

Max Verstappen will again go behind his RB16B at the Formula 1 Heineken Grande Prémio De Portugal 2021 on May 02. We might witness him repeating the Imola results, while his teammate Checo might also join him on the Portugal podium.
