With a nail-biting finish in Bahrain, where Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen battled it out till the last lap. Lewis came out as the winner, beating Verstappen by seven-tenths of a second.

This season’s F1 has without a doubt, started on the right note, as fans hope that this intensity will last till the end. 

Fan’s can’t hide their excitement as the battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen intensifies after Red Bull unveiled a beast of a car. Max finally has a car that can outpace Lewis Hamilton and prove to be a tough competition for the Mercedes team. 

As the young driver aims for the pole position at Imola, Lewis Hamilton was asked about his battle with Max. Lewis said: “Yeah, I’m super excited and super happy for the fans that they are excited. I think it’s something that all the fans have wanted for a long time. Of course, this is only one race, so we don’t know what the future holds in terms of… the pace they have.”

Championship troubles for Lewis Hamilton?

Red Bull are the favorites to win at Imola, but the jury is still out to decide the winner. Lewis Hamilton himself couldn’t decide when asked he if thinks he will win at Imola. He said that his Mercedes W12 may suit different circuits better compared to it did Bahrain. 

Fans have to wait for an agonizing 14 days before Formula One returns to Imola for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix which will take place from 16th to 18th April. With 22 races left, Lewis acknowledged the fact that this season might be the toughest for them as Red Bull’s resurgent pace has taken everyone by surprise.

Lewis said: “I think Red Bull’s pace is incredibly strong, as you could see. We can’t match them in qualifying right now. That’s a big, big step for us but obviously I thought we could get closer within the race – but that was a little bit too close for my liking.”

The defending champion concluded his talks by stating that they don’t know which car will perform better, but one thing’s for sure, he won’t give up till the end.
