Sergio Perez, the latest addition to the Red Bull Racing is slowly adapting with the new outfit. Further, it seems the driver got more comfortable with his new teammate Max Verstappen.
The 31-year-old Mexican joined the Milton Keynes stables after his seven-year-long stints at Racing Point, formerly known as Force India. His performance at the 2021 season-opener in Bahrain was astonishing.

Further, Checo also got his first front-row grid start at Imola but failed to keep his position on the race day because of his freshness to Austrian technology. However, the Mexican is getting comfortable in his new environment. Further, he bonded well with his teammate Verstappen. Both the drivers are seen hanging out and fooling around together.
On Red Bull’s official Twitter, Perez expressed his feelings about Verstappen, ” I was surprised in a good way with Max’s personality. Although I knew him before because we have been racing for many years. But when you are in a team, you spend more time together. The image Max has is different from what he is like as a person. He is very chilled out and obviously, he wants to be very fast and he is competitive.”

What is next for Sergio Perez at Red Bull?
The Mexican is one of the best F1 drivers in the world. Further, Perez already showcased what he can do with Red Bull. As he finished fifth after a troublesome start at the Bahrain GP. However, he made a few mistakes in Emilia Romagna GP because of his freshness with RB16B.
With few more races, Checo would be able to race at his full potential. Even his boss Christian Horner claims Perez is an outstanding addition to their team. Further his teammate Verstappen also said that in coming races they both together will make the competition harder for the defending champions, Mercedes.

Currently, the Red Bull (11) driver ranks P8 with 10 points in the 2021 Drivers Standings, whereas Verstappen is at P2 with 33 more points than Perez. Both the drivers have contributed 53 points altogether to the Austrian outfit. As a result, Red Bull is at P2 on the Constructors standing behind the leading team, Mercedes.
Sergio Perez is gearing up with his new team for the upcoming Portugal Grand Prix on May 02. We might witness Checo sharing the podium with his teammate this weekend. Further, the Mexican might also win the second pole in his career.
