Haas F1 owner Gene Haas announces agreement with Uralkali as “title sponsor” for Multi-year partnership in F1

Gene Haas, the owner of Haas Formula One outfit, has announced the newly constituted agreement with the Russian “title sponsor” Uralkali. Uralkali is one of the largest potash fertilizer producers and exporters around the globe. Haas is now in a multi-year partnership with this Russian company, which starts from the 2021 season.

Haas unveiled their new car for 2021, the VF-21. Much unlike the earlier versions, this car has the Russian flag’s color on the body. The VF-21 has a Russian livery on the front along with a white background, which is pretty unique for the American Formula One team. VF-21 will take on the tracks on March 12 at Bahrain Grand Prix for pre-season testing.

The 68-years-old owner seemed elated about the newly formed partnership with Uralkali. Gene expressed, “I’m very pleased to welcome Uralkali to Formula 1 as title partner to Haas F1 Team. We look forward to representing their brand throughout the season. It’s an exciting time for the team with Uralkali coming onboard and having Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher driving for us”

This is how Haas’ VF-20 looked like. The new model VF-21 is pretty unique for the new season.

The American businessman also stated, “It’s definitely a case of all change but I’m hoping that we get back to being in the mix for scoring some points at these races. It’s been a tough couple of seasons, but we’ve also got our eye on the bigger picture, in particular 2022 and the implementation of the new regulations.”

This will be Haas’ sixth year in the Formula One circuit. Formula One legend, Michael Schumacher’s son Mick Schumacher, will take the driver’s seat for the team along with Nikita Mazepin. With just three points on the cards, Haas performed poorly, finishing P9 on the Constructor’s Championship in the previous season. Gene Haas looks forward to progressing from last year in their new VF-21 this time around. The new season starts on March 28 with Bahrain Grand Prix.
