Formula 1- Lewis Hamilton- Mercedes

Defending Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton showed reluctance while answering questions regarding the drawback of his Mercedes car. The seven times world champion had faced such questions before and the response wasn’t quite the same.

In an interview with Formula One after the Saturday’s final qualification round at the circuit of Sakhir, the Briton was hesitant to open up regarding the issue with his W12.

The Formula One pundits feel the new W12 is quite difficult to handle and Hamilton might be facing problems with it.

Adding on, few days back, Mercedes’ another star racer, Valtteri Bottas pointed out the issues with the W12. The Finnish expressed that the new car is hard to handle and take the control of. Now everyone including the fans feel the issue is with Lewis as well, but he’s just not admitting it.

In the interview, a fan asked him “Could you please tell us where Mercedes is lacking as compared to Red Bull?

To answer that, the 36-year-old driver stated, “Can’t really tell you what our problem is, not really. They’re just faster

Red Bull’s high means Mercedes’s low?

Mercedes’s fierce rival, Red Bull improved their performance significantly, their new RB16B is performing better than their predecessor RB16. Max Verstappen, the Dutch Red Bull driver was the fastest during pre-season testing as well as in qualifying. Lewis followed him up at P2, but the fans are still content about the situation.

This isn’t quite the case with W12. The W11 by Mercedes was a legendary car that left everyone behind by a huge margin on the track. However, with Red Bull’s improved performance and Hamilton failing to find his zeal and traction on the track, some parts of fans believe there must be an issue with the W12.
