Arsenal will try to qualify for the fourth round of the FA Cup by facing Leeds United early next week. For the London Cannons, this tournament was their momentum to reclaim the trophy.
The match against Leeds United will be played by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, London, Tuesday.
Ahead of the match, Arsenal’s new coach, Mikel Arteta, asked his team to seriously face Leeds. Feeling difficult to compete in English and European League competitions, Arteta said winning the FA Cup trophy was important for Arsenal.
‘We have to lift the trophy and we will try to do it again this season. Obviously (the FA Cup) is a competition that is very attached to football clubs in England in recent years, and we must take it very seriously,’ said Arteta.
Meanwhile, Leeds is not an easy opponent. The club from Division 1 Championship is being looked after by Marcelo Bielsa. He was reluctant if his team was called an underdog in this match.
‘When people think that we are favorites in a match, we don’t consider things like that, not the other way around, which is in this case,’ said Bielsa.
