TV analyst and former player Nick Wright lauded Drew Brees. In a chat with ESPN, he said, “I played with Drew. I was able to witness greatness. We all knew that Drew Brees is walking away from the game.”

He continued, “For Drew Brees, the thing that pops up in my mind is this, What he was able to accomplish after that 2005 injury. That was probably the worst injury a quarterback can sustain. We’re talking about winning a super bowl. He is also the second all-time in passes leading to a touchdown.

And he probably has a handful of other records that we can show and talk about. This dude’s greatness and his level of commitment were second to none. His mastery is something that also sticks out. In fact, he was the one guy in the NFL to master the process.”
